OWIT Get Togethers (OGT)

A member driven initiative for members and guests

OWIT Get Togethers (OGTs) were designed to give members the possibility to improve their visibility by organising their own events on the topic of their choice (in line with the OWIT mission) for their fellow association members.

This event format was introduced by our current president, Nasya Dimitrova, and has been successfully running since August 2013. It is open to all OWIT Lake Geneva members who wish to share ideas around a certain topic, hold a workshop, organise a social outing or promote their business.

What should you know about this type of events?

Purpose

To help each member express hidden skills, connect with other members based on common interests and/or geographical location and promote their professional activity.

Topics

Any topic that supports an open exchange of ideas, experiences, interests for fostering the intellectual, social and business exchange and development of our members, aligned with the mission of OWIT Lake Geneva.

Where

No geographical limits

Format

Easy to organize. Recommended number of participants: max 12-15.

Who can organise

Members only. The organizer is responsible for the organization of the OGT including: finding a venue, proposing an agenda, creating a promotional message, identifying target audience, inviting an external speaker, or moderator if necessary, etc.

Who can participate

Members and members' guests if the organizer of the OGT opens it to non-members. We recommend that the OGT reinforces engagement within the association as stated in the purpose of this initiative.

Fee

Free (if possible) or with minimal contribution to cover the costs.
