Raise Your Voice

Workshop on Public Speaking

Now, more than ever, women’s voices need to be heard in our world. Whatever your political stance, the recent U.S. elections have made it clear that women’s empowerment is under threat. Whether it’s contributing to politics, trade, human rights, or your next work meeting, YOU have the power to share your opinions and ideas with the world.

Public speaking can be tough, and many women struggle with fears, nerves, and self-confidence. OWIT’s Workshop on Public Speaking is designed to help you develop practical skills to overcome these obstacles and raise your voice in any setting.

In this 1.5 hour workshop, Ioanna Matsouli, women’s leadership coach and leader of MeetingYourPower Circle, will provide new insights, tools, and exercises to help any women become a confident public speaker. Through workshop activities, you will learn techniques to apply in every situation, whether it’s public speaking in job interviews, work presentations, or networking events. You will also have the opportunity to practice speaking in a safe and supportive environment, with women who want to see you succeed.

The event will mark the launch of MeetingYourPower Circles, a new women’s empowerment network that is coming to Geneva in April 2017. This six-month program is designed to offer women consistent practice by addressing key challenges encountered daily at work meetings. More information will be shared at the workshop.
