It all started in the year 2000, when women who believed in empowering women took the decision to build GWIT, Geneva Women International Trade, aligned after some years with our mother chapter in Washington, OWIT.
A greater purpose to address the challenges that women face, a greater purpose to be the enablers and game changers in trade policies, in business acumen, breaking the status quo, raising awareness and being the market gateway openers to participate in the growth firstly for their families, in their community and in their home countries.
Not only. Our strong belief is in capacity building, mentoring and uplifting together.

Since then, many chapters have been created and we are still growing (+20 chapters over 3 continents).
A powerful network for women from all spheres of life, coming together, sharing together and caring for each other.
It is such a huge pleasure and delight to see that we are already 20+ years supporting women in Geneva and around, working with different international organizations, having strong ties with the corporate world and trade related initiatives. A truthful and standing on earth organization were everyone is welcome.
For many more years with success and more members to be the game changers for our young girls.
This year, we are celebrating 20 years since our first Articles were signed. We are honored to invite all our past and actual board members, volunteers, partners and friends to join us and highlight our best moments during the past 20 years!

John began his career in Toronto, as a lawyer specialized in international relations. In 1998, he moved to Geneva to pursue an international career. He has worked at the United Nations, the International Organization for Migration and the World Health Organization. He is also a speaker and presentation skills trainer.

Freshly graduated from EHG, Benoit has just started his professional journey by joining the amazing Four Seasons family here in Geneva. Rich of a multicultural background as he was lucky to live in over 10 different countries already. He is got experience in hosting, moderating or presenting events with taking part in TEDxGeneva. He is passionate of art, believes in love for humanity and loves to learn about cultures and languages as he is able to speak four languages fluently [French, English, Spanish, Portuguese and intermediate Korean].
